After factory resetting the phone it asks for the password again after you've connected to a wifi?! It won't let me choose the Gmail account option instead?! What to do?!

I can do that but now the phone is asking for the old pin or the old google account to proceed with activation. This is after the phone has undergone its factory reset. I think it is the carrier asking for this info (Boost mobile)

Thank you for this information, now can you please tell me how to block this from happening using a pin, so after holding volume up + bixbie, it should then ask you for a password before you can reset the device.

If you have a lock on your phone you can wipe it like you are showing but you still will be prompted for you password you used on Google. I'm sure you can unlock the pattern (you can use the Google/Samsung password) the same way without doing a factory reset and lose everything on your phone.
