84, Charing Cross Road is a favorite! I learned a lot about post-WWII England, identified with someone who "self-teaches" as a lifestyle & wished I could have Helene Hanff as a close friend. (She passed away in 1997.)

Can never have too many books. I love that you're all about historical fiction now, so many new recommendations from you (which is dangerous for my TBR, haha). The Master Craftsman sounds right up my alley!

I really could watch these videos all day. So relaxing 😊

I say that a lot, that I’m not going to buy books for awhile-never works! A lot of the books sound good. I have read only one, Still Alice-a woman who finds she has Alzheimer's disease and her struggles. Sweet but sad as my mother had dementia, but she always remembered us, which was a blessing. Good book. Good movie.

Lol, telling me to not buy a book is like telling me not to breathe 😅

Hahaha. I want a video on how you manage your book collection. How do you organize it all? Do you store away books you're not using right now?

I'm building a little library for my future homeschooling and I know my shelves will be packed before I know it!

I love deadline and the others in that series. They each stand alone but I highly recommend all three.

The small book is meant to be read with one hand 😊 I used to work at a bookstore when those started coming out and that's what they told us they were for.

I find few people like Mansfield Park. It’s probably my favorite Austen and then Persuasion. The two most people don’t really like🤣. It’s always so fascinating to see how differently people react to the same book. I think that’s the best thing about book clubs, listening to others perspectives.

I love your channel name. I'm sort of envious of all the books you have. I always enjoy when our local library has the used book sale.

30:26 For Crimson Shore, it is the middle of the series of a detective and some of them are mini-series. I think that one kicks off a new mini-series in the entire series but if you have not read any of the other Pendergast novels, you might be lost.

White Bird is excellent! 📚 84 Charing Cross Road was made into a film in 1987 (Anthony Hopkins, Anne Bancroft). It’s worth a watch. 🎥

What a great book hall! I am still on a break from bringing any books home and it’s starting to get hard. I am actually unhauling books and only reading what I own.

The Sarah Ladd one is Christian Historical Fiction too. I believe it is also part of a series. Great haul! I listened to The Alliance (Christian fiction) and now I'm looking for the second book in the series, but haven't been able to find it. Enjoy!

The Master Craftsman was on my most Anticipated Releases, I hope to get to it this year if I can. I have Skyhunter and Steelstriker, but still haven't read them. Check out the hardcover underneath the dust jacket of those books.

I also bought a whole pile of books from Book Outlet (and elsewhere) recently, including the same Virginia Woolf one (Room of One's Own) that you bought! I also feel like I am somehow stockpiling in order to hunker down for the winter... or at least, that's my excuse for now. Trying to resist going back to check out Book Outlet for more of the books you mentioned!
