Thank God I found this. I was about to start going crazy. Looking at BCM, grounds, fuses, relays, breaks in wire, blaming squirrels, considering taking it somewhere... And it was a smoked plug....

I just went out this morning after I watched the video and bought the new receptacle changed it out and presto it worked like a charm! I was stumped before as the fuses and relays were fine! This did the trick thanks again guys. Two thumbs up!

Thinking this is my issue. Pulled the bulb out and reconnected it with a little more force than when I changed it out about a month ago. It’s back on and working, will see how long it lasts thanks for the vid

I bought a new harness from Amazon for my 2011 silverado Lt. Same problem, only now the new one is doing the same thing too. The old one had wires broken off. Wires stripped on the old one.

Hey man, all fuses are good, relays, i also have a multi meter, hard to check as it only goes out like 20% of the time it flickers off then on again. But when i put it on jackstands in the yard the bulb works so hard to diagnose, i don't see any corrosion on main wire harness plug and also did a tug test. Bulb connector looks fine by eye too. Even did a tug test to no evail it stays on. Can the connector (look good) and still be failing internally? Thanks like the bulb connector has no signs of corrosion or burnt plastic

Didn’t help me at all but definitely a good video and I’m pretty sure it helped someone else

What’s causing the headlight connector to melt / burn ? I have now purchased my 3rd wire harness and it lasted 4 days.

I have put in four headlight sockets they keep burning out. I need to know why I can’t get more then a month out of a socket.

What do you suppose the problem is if the harness is good? Bulb is good as are the fuses and relays .

Quick question my step dad has a Chevy Silverado texas edition 2009 and the right light bulb keeps going out he has replaced it so many times and it only last for couple months not even weeks then the bulb just goes out could these be the same problem that a fuse has blown?

I have a 2012 Sierra, never had an issue until recently. about 3 weeks back 1 dim stopped working, bought a bulb and when I went to pop it out it started working and stayed on until now. Same scenario, I stopped at a store, worked when I got there, went to leave and it didnt work, except this time both dims were out. wiggled them and nothing. 1 bulb was blown, other not. replaced blown bulb and still nothing. my reverse light is out on the rear driver side but has been out for a long time. Any advice would be a life saver.

I replaced mine bc it was doing thing but now the low beam don’t work but the high beam does. It works after you pull the bulb and put it back but goes out again.
