Ok, Asia and BJ, that last part of the song was lifted from the chorus of an old classic hit song in 1971 called, "Indian Reservation" by Paul Revere and the Raiders. You guys should react to it. Great song! (Paul Revere and the Raiders weren't the first to do the song but they had the first number #1 hit with it and it's the most well known)

This was Tim's first big hit, released in 1994. Almost 30 years ago! He was a baby!

This was the song that made him famous. I remember when this came out. I was in the 6th grade in junior high. The 90s was a great time for not only country music, but music in general. Some amazing bands/songs came out in the 90s.

This was *not* Tim McGraw's first single. It was his fifth single. This was his first top ten country hit. He had four singles before this from his debut album that didn't chart very well.

This song was big in the 90’s in southwest Michigan, and it’s still a classic in Florida.

I'm not a big country fan but 90's country rocked in a different way. LOVE this song.

I saw Tim perform at a local bar on his way up. When he was selling CDs out of a box on the side of the stage. He had white boxers for sale with a big green buffalo on the back. 😂

Great song from a great singer. The fiddle and steel guitar are fantastic. I'm not even going to get started on the folks that are too uptight about the "out of date" terminology. Thanks for reacting to it. Another "Indian" song to check out is "Indian Lake" by The Cowsills. Need to check out The Cowsills anyway.

This song was released in 1994, when "country line dancing" was all the rage. I drove down from Kentucky to Florida with a buddy of mine to play golf over a weekend, that spring I think. We left on Friday, played Sunday morning, then headed back that night. On the entire trip, town to town and State to State, this is almost the only song we heard on the radio. This song was MASSIVE. I never cared for Tim McGraw after this first hit, because he never did anything that sounded like it again.

Hi Asia and BJ! I worked in country radio in the 1990s and there were a slew of male and female country artist… Some of them stayed and some went away but Tim McGraw Wass the one to garner a lot of attention. this is his debut record and video… Noticed the long hair. Shania Twain was also one of those who started out kind of warm and took it upon herself to make it big and that’s what she did.

I have this on my iTunes.

Years ago I played it and let out a full Indian war whoop at the end and my daughter just about jumped through the ceiling.

“Daddy!!!”
