This is also completely and wholly consistent with the premise of the movie, which is people becoming mentally inverted, which would leave the obvious duality of a physical inversion as well.

Fun fact: Inside Out's director Pete Docter worked on a defunct Epcot attraction called Cranium Command (most recently known for an animatronic that was stolen). This attraction was actually partial inspiration for the movie. It's a shame Disney didn't decide to bring back Cranium Command with an Inside Out overlay.

The true antagonist of inside out was not one I was expecting. This could start to make me think differently now, on other, Pixar movies.

Theorizer : as you can see this thought was the root to all the evil that proceeded this film, they microsecond snapshot was not in fact for light comedy and, even if most can't even see him, that person on the far left of the screen who's hand is the only thing visible is, in fact, the main villain to this whole plot.
