This is one of my favorite scenes with the creature representing one of the tarot arcana. The Fool is hilarious, psychologically torturing Nedn't before deciding to kill him 😂

He’s such a talented actor too. He definitely saw how bad this movie was and decided to give the most satire performance ever

STORY EXPLAINED:
After Madeleine got killed by The Hanged Man and the guys were on their way to the house in the Catskills to destroy the deck, Paxton, who decided to set off on his own back to his room, was almost at the apartment, until suddenly, he begins hearing what sounds like a clown laughing.

When he thinks it was nothing, he continues walking, but then he starts hearing someone running towards him from behind, but after turning around, he sees it was nothing again. Whatever is going on, it starts scaring Paxton a little bit, so he begins running and as he approaches the door, somehow, he sees the reflection of someone dressed as a jester at the top of the stairs opposite the apartment.

At first, he thinks he's taken too much of his electric cigarette and he's just hallucinating, but when he continues staring at the figure, he begins seeing him twisting his body, which really scares him, so he walks into the apartment and goes to ask for help from the receptionist, but unfortunately, he finds there's no one there. He goes to unlock the door to the stairs, but it doesn't work, so instead, he takes the elevator. While it takes him up to his floor, he tries to recover, but somehow, he sees the elevator is still ascending, but worse, he realizes it's "Ascending numbers", which was something that was read in his Horoscope, and something else he realizes that was also read is he's boxed in.

When the elevator reaches the top floor and the doors open, Paxton starts seeing the figure again with an extra torso stacked up on top of his real torso, but then goes back down. Paxton ignores it and tries getting the elevator to go down, but then all of a sudden, all the buttons magically change to pictures of Paxton's birth sign, which is Taurus, and on top of that is an elevator certificate with a blood signature by The Fool himself.

When the doors close again, Paxton tries calling Grant and tells him that his Horoscope is coming true and that he's stuck in an elevator, and when Grant asks where he is, unfortunately, the line cuts out.

After that, the doors close again and when they open, Haley's voice starts saying what she read about Paxton's Horoscope, and after saying that when one door closes, another one opens, he starts seeing The Fool with his body bent down and as Paxton screams in fear, it continues approaching him by using what looks like cuts. And suddenly, it changes his face from happy to disappointed.

Eventually, when the doors close and open again, The Fool disappears, but when the lights begin flickering again, they change to red and a song starts playing, singing "Everybody Plays The Fool Sometime", and then suddenly, The Fool makes his entrance, tearing the ceiling open and as Paxton lies on the floor, staring at him, it shows some sharp teeth and goes to kill him.

The scene then jumps to the guys still on their way to the house and when Paige tells Grant to call Paxton again, unfortunately, he says it just goes straight to voicemail, which gets them to think The Fool definitely killed him.
