There are currently as of 2024, 21 chimps in the chimp troop at Chester Zoo consisting of 7 Males and 13 Females and 1 newborn baby The oldest is Boris at 56 years old Born 1966 and the youngest is this baby chimp born 29th December 2023

Most of the chimps at Chester Zoo, have appeared in the popular nature documentary series, shown on TV called The Secret Life Of The Zoo.
This animal documentary series was first aired on TV in 2016 and has run for 10 seasons from 2016 - 2021
