[OLD] THE Robert Trujillo's bass solo + TABS (Metallica lSydney 2004) - NEW VERSION BELOW

This is my favorite Robert Trujillo's bass solo, it's from Metallica's performance on Big Day Out (live Sydney 2004). I was astonished when watched it for the first time back to 2009. I didn't play bass then, even didn't plan to. But that had planted a seed of what I am now. Robert was my first bass teacher.

I guess I'm try to say, Jason and Rob got the skills and they show off because they can....Cliff though was born a soloist. Works like Orion and Call of Kutulu show that if you let him he can add deep and meaningful solo work to almost any song.

I love all the Metallica guys but is it just me Cliff really said something when he played. It just wasn't solo, go fast. To me Cliff was more of a thinker and he choose each note carefully, we didn't waste them.
