Tye Trujillo is the latest guest to sit down with Loudwire's Gear Factor to play his favorite bass parts of songs.

Though just 17-years-old, Trujillo has already made a name for himself in the music industry. He has his own bands OTTTO and Feed The Beast and has served as a fill-in for Korn and Suicidal Tendencies during their shows.

He even provided some shredding for Metallica's "Master of Puppets" on the 'Stranger Things' finale. As you may have guessed, Tye is the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.

, ,I was struggling with this Metallica song, so I asked my dad for help, the bassist of Metallica."
Man is a really good player with nice compositions. It's really fun to listen to him playing.

Tye seems to be a grounded, down to earth young man! I’m glad he’s doing well! His dad is my favorite member of Metallica, he doesn’t add any drama, loves what he does & it shows.

Wow, he's so talented and young! Very natural player - has the technique, phrasing, facility. Even the scales are great. I wish him the best!

Awesome. Crazy to think ST’s first album, Robert was Tye’s age. Makes me feel super old.

I am so proud but more impressed and excited to see everything Tye does in his career. He is a badass and it doesn't matter who your dad or teachers are. It matters how hard you practice and want to be great and this guy is going to be all of that.

Violent and funky was the first line of rob’s that really got me into infectious grooves, takes everything you got to play that one evenly

Spittin' image of Rob. Very impressive to be able to play like that at his age. I was happy with myself at 17 if I could get through War Pigs.

Love it! I'm a bass guy that started on guitar too, so much of what you say here is spot on with my experience.
