"now I'll finish the game myself so I don't feel like I _completely_ cheated"
>blunders his king immediately

Imagine your first move you've made without using an engine blundered mate in 1.

You lasted quite a while against stockfish, well done

Being able to checkmate yourself 1 move after using stockfish all game is pretty impressive

GG's Nelson! It's sad that people often cheat to win, but they don't realize that they don't improve and all they want is temporary happiness that they will go for it. I remember playing in a tournament (think it was the US open), I was versing someone around 1700. Right out of the opening and into the middle game, I already felt that something was off. Close to every move played by the 1700 was a top engine move. This guy was very sneaky in trying to use his phone to use an engine. My mom was watching from afar and saw my suspicious face (we made eye contact), and she then went after the tournament director to let him know. My opponent I think stopped using his phone, went back and played the WORST move (like I wanted to put a thousand questions marks for that move), and then I went on to win. Then my opponent tried to redeem myself saying I could have played so and so when all he did was regurgitate an engine line. I literally gave him the death stare lol before setting up the pieces. Fun times.

Nelson was titled USCF National Master for a good reason. This game should proof us that he deserves to be a chess master. Nice win!

One other explanation might be that he misclicked this last move.

Reminds me of Levy’s video on a cheater similar to this person, cheating for the most part but turning it off at the end

I truly admire the analysis that you provide with each of your videos!!! It really helps me out, and I’m sure I can speak for a lot of other players here as well

This happens a lot, i have played hundreds of cheats and often they completely crush you then lose the game from a winning position because they turn off their engine so that they think they can make a few mistakes to make it look like non-engine gameplay, but they're just a 400 elo and don't actually know how to finish the line.

It looks more like he mousedropped the rook after one square, because Rab8 is pretty much nonsensical and it was on the track to the correct move Raxe8.

I'm satisfied they closed his account. You did a good job defeating him!

I’ve never understood cheating. There can’t be any satisfaction in effectively being a front man for stockfish. So why play at all? Surely snakes and ladders would be more suitable.

Satisfying win though Nelson!

Looks like a perfect mouseslip to me.. no way someone who uses an engine above 2000 would fail to see that checkmate if you give them 5 seconds. Gg nonetheless! Glad he got what he deserved.

I think he dropped the rook too soon unintentionally

At 1:21 what if you defend the bishop by queen one square up!

This great win by Nelson tells much about the tactics at least worse cheaters do. You would expect that using engine would take you on the top of the ladder, but eventually they get caught. This los... user tried to cheat in Chess and cheat CC to believe he/she is not a cheater, and failed in both.

Is it possible he was copying a bot rather than pure stockfish and the bot is designed to make the odd bad move?
I play bots - party because I am too chicken about getting screwed over.
