By "anyone can make" Josh was clearly speaking to the portion of his audience that are part-time chefs.

I love how he didn’t show Angela finishing her sentence about her mom so all we hear with no explanation is “my mom used to beat my ass”

This comes at a great time when we're all missing sushi during quarantine.

I want to know the definition of Joshua's "easy".

Edit: You were expecting something gnarly here did ya.

Seems like a lot of people in the comments are disheartened by the complexity of this recipe so I just want to put it out there that it really doesn't need to be this complicated to make sushi!
You don't need a rice cooker, you can just use a normal pan (loads of videos/articles on cooking the perfect rice this way), and don't worry about the wooden bowl. Yes, it's not the authentic way, but at the end of the day you just want some tasty sushi, right? The sushi zu can be found bottled in the international section of loads of supermarkets often labelled as "sushi vinegar", but if not you can simply make it by mixing just vinegar (doesn't even have to be rice vinegar, apple cider vinegar works well) and sugar. For the fish, I usually just use canned tuna, smoked salmon, or those processed crab sticks.
Obviously you won't get restaurant quality sushi, but as someone who's made sushi at home a lot, I promise you it's really easy and rewarding to do at home and getting bogged down in expensive ingredients and tricky techniques totally isn't necessary to making delicious sushi at home!

Josh: "Sushis anyone can make"
Also Josh: "So you're gonna need a special rice cooker, a special wooden bowl, it's gonna take an eternity to make and also you're gonna need a whole bunch of super exotic and expensive ingredients"

me and my little sister love you! she’s kinda guarded, and me and my mom have never been able to really figure out what she’s passionate about, but since showing her your videos and bonding over your cooking, we’ve realized she loves cooking and got her a cookbook for christmas! thanks so much, and i’m so glad to see the growth you’ve gotten and deserve! love from satx ☀️

And thanks for the rice seasoning recipe. Loved it!

I like how despite him usually saying we’re recreating something at home that TASTES BETTER than original, he respects Japanese cuisine enough to say we’re trying to get “As Close to” the real deal

I need to try this method, I've only made sushi the common way.
Also to everyone complaining that its to complicated, its really not, you need a fairly basic cooking and cutting skill set and to just follow the instructions step by step

Sushi handrolls are definitely a nice way to get started with sushi-making, I should make some more temaki tutorials, here are the ones I made so far:
