How to add BCC Google Workspace emails for 2-way sync with CRM - GoHighLevel

Hey, what's up, everyone? Today, I'm going to show you exactly how to take your Highlevel communication—your Gmails, emails, inbox, outbox—and do a two-way sync, then set that up with Google Workspace. Here we go!

First, go into your settings and get into your profile to set up email two-way sync. This allows you to track all conversations in and out, so if I send an email from Gmail, I want it to be in my Highlevel CRM, and vice versa. When my teammates send an email from support at Gmail, it'll show up in the software too.

Benefits of Using Highlevel:
Track conversations from many different inboxes (Messenger, email, missed call, text back) from start to finish.
Ensure all communications are visible in one place.

Steps:
Set Up Email Sync:

Connect to your Google Workspace.
Go to two-way sync from your profile and connect it.
If you don't have Workspace, sign up.

Configure BCC in Google Workspace:

Log into Workspace, go to Apps, then Google Workspace, and click on Gmail.
Navigate to Compliance, then Content Compliance, and click Configure.
Select Inbound, Outbound, Internal, and Receiving. Add the BCC.
Click Save.
Testing the Setup:

Compose an email in Gmail and ensure it shows up in Highlevel.
Check that incoming and outgoing emails are synced properly.
This setup ensures you never lose track of conversations, even if a team member leaves.

Thank you! When someone first sends me an email, it does not show up in my ghl conversations tab.
You have some tips on how to get it to show up in ghl as well as my gmail.

You already had the contact in GHL, so you don't need to do the BCC from gmail. The BCC from GHL is if you are sending a COLD email to a new client who is not a contact in GHL. As long as they are a contact it will sync without these steps. With these steps the way you have done it still doesn't work for cold emails originating from gmail.

I followed this exactly and tried different BCC emails, including the GHL BCC email, and it didn't work. I tried it manually by adding the GHL BCC email to the BCC line in an email, and it worked, but I can't get the workspace to comply. Are there other settings in the workspace to consider that would prevent this from working?

what if i have multiple users in the ghl subaccount that i want this feature to work for? Will the bcc add in admin panel apply to all emails across the organization?

If the emails are already set up with two-way sync, why would I need to use the Auto BCC feature? Isn’t that redundant? I assume that with two-way sync, I should be able to see everything sent from Gmail in the CRM and vice versa. I’m unclear on when Auto BCC would be necessary unless it’s specifically for automatically adding contacts to the CRM.

How can this be used in just regular gmail - and not Workspaces?

This doesn't work because this adds the GHL email as a secondary recipient and not as a BCC. GHL seems to ignore unless the secret email is in the BCC specifically. Anyone figure out how to configure workspace to add this additional recipient as a BCC specifically?
