Take it as a lesson, not that they were bad or anyrhing (unless they are genuinely abusive), you just werent compatible like that. And take it as a way to grow yourself, see it as a milestone in your life. Who you were then compared to now.

I don't believe in forever love for most people, i find it unrealistic, but i understand those who yearn for it. I think a big part of it is the world is changing and we keep looking at how things WERE, shown romanticized versions of these things.
