From experience I can tell you one roll would have been more than enough to tape someone to the ceiling. In fact most of the time half a roll would be sufficient if the person doesn’t move.

I once repaired a torn winter parka by using duct tape on the inside of the tear to hold the torn material in place, and then going over it with an iron. The repair lasted years.
