Is Flex Tape Really As Strong As Those Commercials Claim?

According to the commercial for Flex Tape, it's so strong it can plug a hole underwater, lift a 45-pound weight and even patch up a boat that has been sawed in half. But is it all just advertising hype? Inside Edition's Chief Investigative Correspondent Lisa Guerrero bought a boat and cut it in half, just like the commercial, to see if Flex Tape could help it work on the water. A team at Lakeview Marina in New Jersey applied the tape after the boat was cut in half. #InsideEdition

The reason the boat leaked is because the tape was so wrinkled on the commercial they put it on flawlessly

I am very glad that they tested this flex tape. My boat also split right in half and I was just about to patch it up with some flex tape but seeing that it is not that stable, I think I will just stick with my Elmer's glue.
