Where Is My Mind? is the seventh song on the 1988 album Surfer Rosa. It was composed by the leader of the band Black Francis while he was studying at Amherst University in Massachusetts, inspired by his experiences as a scuba diver in the Caribbean Sea. "Where is My Mind?" was voted number 29th on the 100 Greatest Songs of All Time by Australian radio station Triple J after more than half a million votes.
"Where Is My Mind?" appears in the last scene and credits of the 1999 film Fight Club. It also appeared in an HBO commercial for The Dark Knight. In 2007 it appeared in chapter 45 of the series The 4400. In 2009 it is included in the soundtrack of the movie Mr. Nobody directed by Jaco Van Dormael and starring Jared Leto. Also for the film Sucker Punch released in 2011, a new version was used, sung by the same protagonist of the film Emily Browning and Yoav. In 2015, Maxene Cyrin's piano version was used in the final scene of the ninth episode of the Mr. Robot series. And also in the movie starring Keanu Reeves, Knock Knock.
