Sending a thank you letter after a job interview is one of the best things you can do to follow-up with your interviewer. Sending a thank you letter reinforces your commitment and interest in the position and will likely increase your chances for getting the job. Thank you letters are also called follow-up letters. This thank you letter after a job interview can be a simple email letter that you send to your interviewer to let them know you appreciate their time and that you are still interested in the job.

After the end of my interview, I was in a good mood. Therefore I wrote an email thanking them, and telling how pleasant our conversation was. Five minutes later I received a reply saying pretty much the same. They told me it would take a month to get back to me with a decision, but they offer me the job less than a week after that instead =) Thanks Don!

I've gotten a job off of a thank you letter and it changed my life. Like Don said it's not everything but it shows the hiring manager you are interested and in their busy schedule it puts your name back in their thoughts. Its like marketing...it's another chance to remind the hiring manager a few days later about everything you bring to the table.

I just want to share a story about what just happened to me while watching your video. I'm watching your video and I decide to send a thank you follow up letter/email to one of the jobs that I've been waiting for. Not even 15 minutes later I get a call and they informed me that I should have already started doing the background check and have had a start date. My thank you letter not only showed them I was still interested but also showed them that I haven't started yet.
