This is Why You Should Start Sending Thank You Notes

I see many people talk about how sending thank you notes  after an interview is outdated or a waste of time because no one responds anyways, I get it. Job hunting is frustrating; you send many messages with no responses.

Why send a thank you email if you're only gonna get silence in return? right?

Well, I like to think of it this way. Imagine if I stop sending proposals to clients after a consultation. I'd have no business, I know most people won't respond. But I send them just the same because it shows my attention to detail, my follow-through skills, that I care, that I want to work with them, how I can add value and my passion for what I do.

All skills are very attractive to someone that wants to work with me. And my bet is if you're interviewing for a job, those skills might also be attractive to the person that may hire you. I'm willing to bet for many of you, employers will find those qualities attractive in the next person they hire.

Will a thank you letter after an email change somebody's mind? Probably not. But if you're a top candidate for the role, could it help? I like to think so.

If you missed my last video newsletter with a thank you note formula, use the link in my profile, steal the formula, use it, and start reinforcing your best qualities with those who could hire you.
