How to connect an RJ45 connector

I love this song! I must've listened to it 10's of thousands of times, but I've never thought how perfect it is in terms of you twisting the cable, as their lyrics are "twisting of that new technology.

First electrical experience was Data, did it for 2 years 10 years ago, now I work with higher voltage 250 and 480. All I did, and still do, fake it till I made it with help along the way, being thrown in the proverbial fire. After Data I learned how to bend conduit, next job I was electrical maintenance at a cabinet finishing plant learning about line diagrams, contact switches, VFDs (still hate those lol), electrical motors, fuses, transformers, etc.

Now I work at a Bitcoin mining facility in TX, easiest job I've had so far but I do it well because of all the experience that has led up to this. God set me on the path and held my childish hand through the whole thing. All I do here is make sure these miners have power, really I'm just on call 12 hours a day being a glorified babysitter for the power. It's great, might not last forever but I appreciate it while it's here. Not sure what's next, anyway, that's my career story, I'm 30 years old now.

Recently had a software engineer try to crimp rj45 onto a stranded core ethernet cable and he was stripping the ends of all 8 wires before inserting them into a connector, had to intervene and show the guy how to do it xD

How long have you had that Klien crimper? Is the hype justified ?

I was taught this yrs ago but always wondered why does it need to be that way is it just a standard if a replacement connector is required or does it actually serve a purpose

I just make sure they're the same configuration on each end

nice vid, but you didn't really make clear which side of the connector it is (up or down) and this is assuming the B convention on the other side.
