They turned Worf into a pacifist. That is all I needed to know.

Thank you for enduring Dave. You suffer so we shall not. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten brother...

To someone suffering from years of diarrhea, a quasi-solid turd looks like a quality product. But all it takes is a bite to remind you what you're dealing with hasn't changed at all because it is not the form that matters but the nature of it.

If they ever make a biopic of Orson Wells, I nominate Jonathan Frakes. He has really grown into the part over the years.

Fool me once (season 1) shame on you, fool me twice (season 2) shame on me - I will not be fooled a third time.

The crew of the USS Enterprise-D aren’t coming back, Picard season 3 is going to be a blood bath to destroy what shred of legacy is left.

So looking forward to your review of "Silent Running". One of my favorite Sci-fi movies.

I have a Boy who Cried Wolf relationship with Star Trek now. I was suckered into Picard with the promise it was a return to form after discovery, and then they said strange new worlds was a return to form, and now they’re trying it again… so yeah, no thanks.

So someone is trying to kill the already-dead Picard?

For me the well's been too poisoned. Even if Season 3 is more Trek than Trek, it's too little too late for me.

I grew up during the golden age of Star Trek, the 1990s to early 2000s. It was absolutely a great time to be a Star Trek fan.

It was a show that often really made you think more than experience gripping action set pieces. Even DS9 with the Dominion War wasn't as action and physical conflict heavy as current year Star Trek. When we received big space battles and physical fights, they were a treat, and not a continuous barrage to the senses.

I don't know, the trailers still make it look like another chapter of 'Discovery' era Trek... Including what appears to be a 'season long' confrontation with some unhinged adversary that will require MANY EPIC space battles.
I'm sure we'll see lots of impressive special effects, exploding photon torpedos, and piercing phaser blasts and exploding starships. Just the type of non-stop ACTION that fans have always demanded from their STAR TREK series'...

I appreciate your stance on this. Even if it is as good as RMB says, and I have no reason to doubt him, it won't fix the damage done, not just to the external franchise but to the in universe story. I do not want any more stories in the timeline they attached to real Star Trek.

Why are people giving these corporations more and more chances? Why are people giving them publicity?

Given recent evidence, I'm pretty sure my reaction will likely be:

Look how they massacred my boy!

It may be closer to real Trek, but it’s still set in the darker and grittier might as well be the mirror universe. There’s no way they abandon everything they’ve done. The stains aren’t coming out no matter how hard they may try to make us think they’ve scrubbed.

Remember when _Star Trek_ was brightly lit, and you could see who was doing what in the scene clearly? Good times. Whatever happened to lighting a set, eh?

Even if they do everything perfectly, do these studios really deserve our viewership anymore?

Stunning and brave, sir. Thoughts and prayers.

I’d love to see a review of The Final Countdown. More people should be aware of this film.
