You’re the first person I have seen with a gamer leg. The RGB probably gives you a 10% speed increase, right?

as a kid, i thought that people with prosthetic legs worked like an iron man suit.

I knew a guy who used to wear pants over his prosthetic and go to his sons, Boy Scout, camping’s, and he would stage a fight with the other parents and scare the crap out of the kids when the other parent stabs his leg. Good wholesome traumatic fun for the whole family. He is definitely a character for sure.

My grandpa used this leather belt contraption. I never heard him complain, ever, but I saw his stump a few times growing up and he had to have been in constant pain. It’s good to see these are getting better.

Back when I was a little little kid, I remember that my mom would always take me to a daycare at a gym that she went to. One of the people that was there almost everyday was an amputee who had a prosthetic leg that he would run on almost every day. I remember my mom getting mad at me and my brothers because we could point at it and say that he looked like a Jedi and talk about how cool it looked maybe a bit louder than we should’ve, but looking back I remember him smiling every time we talked about it.

My dad lost his leg above the knee when he was about the same age you are (mid twenties I’m guessing) and because of that, I grew up with the mentality that a missing limb is normal.

It’s so cool to see other people learn about the differences in life that develop from having a leg missing. It’s also really cool to see the levels of technology that we are able to put in prosthetics nowadays even compared to 10 years ago.
For example in one of my dads older legs, the only real technical feature it had was hydraulic fluid in the system to prevent the leg from being to floppy but his most recent leg can connect to a phone and has a remote to allow him to control different settings in how it moves in response to him. It’s really cool.

Although one major downside with modern prosthetics is that they can cost a lot of money. As in a new car can be cheaper.

I love how most amputees don't call it the "residual limb" they either call it the nub or the stump. As a partial hand amputee I personally use nub 🤣

My dad had a prosthetic my whole life. He was a great dad. Passed away 3 years ago. Seeing the routine reminds me of him and makes me feel good thanks for the vid

Thanks for being this raw with people. You’re smiling and have a positive attitude but we have no idea the struggle this is.
