I have both spring and non spring loaded. I prefer the non spring loaded version. The locking catch popped off on the spring loaded version. Still a great bit of kit. You still have to carry some side cutters though. I'm so used to using wire croppers. I find them easiest to double over for terminals. Great review 👍

For me these are aimed more at domestic / light commercial work and probably good for odd jobs. They have good shears for cutting, but they don't have the capacity of bespoke cable shears. Same with the stripping, good for small cable, but proper strippers have a much wider capacity. I would probably get kicked off site if I was caught using that style of crimper, has to be ratchet type for my work. They probably replace the combo pliers and long nose reasonable well, but as pointed out below, you still need a pair of side cutters for cutting in tight places.

I think these are fine for doing sockets but if you're doing boxes with a lot of wires i tend to move to dedicated pliers and strippers as they are a lot faster with more wires however this tool is probably a lot faster with doing sockets

They are great pliers, I have the AWG, non plated iteration, BYW, they also have a tethered version .

I use the Klein tools electricians needle nose the striping is alright but I do like the tool as a needle nose and screw cutter, but most of the time I use real wore strippers to strip wire anyway, the strips on the Knipex are in Metric and I don't speak French so there a hard pass for me
