Ryzen 7 1700X vs Ryzen 5 3600 - Tested in 2023

In this video, I'm benchmarking the AMD Ryzen 7 1700X vs the Ryzen 5 3600. The Ryzen 7 1700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, while the Ryzen 5 3600 has 6 cores and 12 threads. This would mean that the R7 1700X would be better. The Ryzen 7 1700X has a base frequency of 3.4GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.8GHz, while the Ryzen 5 3600 has a base frequency of 3.6GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.2GHz, so this would mean that the Ryzen 5 3600 is better.

When games will rely more on cpu cores instead of single core perfomance the Ryzen 7 1700X will be very decent!

As other have mentioned its pretty easy to bump a R1700 up to 3.9 or 4ghz. I had one years ago with a RX580 8gb. Overclocking them got me another 5 to 15fps depending on the game.

CS and GTA5, it was bad. Other games ..10% difference max. 1700x did well!

para que quieres 650 fps--- si la mayoria tenemos monitores de entre 75/165hz algun privilegiado anda con 240hz, pero no es lo común...y si, hay de 360hz incluso, pero realistamente, la mayoria tiene monitores de la variante primera que dije, luego, comparar con fps tan altos generando diferencias a si estuviera capado a unos fps normales, de maximo unos 240hz asi si verias en que escenario gana uno u otro...o es mas estable, ya que darian latencias diferentes a como lo has testado....a
