I've had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Chris Botti better than just a few times. He is a real gentleman, personable and usually does a "meet and greet" after a concert. He truly is the reason I was inspired to pull my trumpet out and start playing again after 35 years. To see him perform live is an incredible experience. He has several concerts on Blu-Ray, and you can see various clips here on YouTube of them. The home "gigs" on BRD are fun, as when I'm alone, I work at playing along. Just add wine. I also have an autographed songbook from him I got on my birthday. Yes, I am a big fan of his. He plays that trumpet of his beautifully and seemingly effortlessly. This rendition of our National Anthem does give me a great feeling inside of pride every time I listen to it. I found it to be so beautiful that I love to share it proudly. As for me, I'm still working on the long notes. :)
