Thank you for this. I felt for a long time that I wasn't investing, but your concept of investing in training, education, and certifications is affirming. A few years ago I was teaching high school and feeling burned out by all of the bureaucracy, conflicting agendas, and lack of respect in the classroom. I invested in an online, self-paced masters degree and found a job as an instructional designer. Now, two years later, I'm making nearly double what I was making. Great advice, And I'm loving your channel! Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

When I saw this title, I thought the best way to invest your $1000 is to actually learn how to invest $1000! Haha.

I chose to create a “solution” combined with “travel”. I am on disability benefits but I do own a house. I can’t afford the upkeep of the house but it is in good nick. After much research (btw thanks for your input) I decided to sell the house and invest the capital and move to India to live cheaply. I’m investing 75% in global equity (split into two funds so the fees are low) and 25% in global small cap equity (for a little extra juice). I’m looking at maybe a little more than 10% a year in the long run of which I can safely spend up to £8, 000 per annum. It costs £5, 000 a year to live in India and I shall reinvest the rest or spend it on vacations to nearby Asian countries between visas. Why struggle here when I can enjoy myself elsewhere?

Investing in low cost index funds is a very sensible option. You gain exposure to all the largest global companies which significantly reduces your long term risk. Warren Buffet has always maintained " Never invest your money in a company/concept that you do not fully understand" For many - index funds are simple, cost affective and not complex to grasp. A great video Nischa.

Saving typically results in you earning a lower return but with virtually no risk. In contrast, investing allows you the opportunity to earn a higher return, but you take on the risk of loss in order to do so

Every time I watch one of your videos - I just take a step back after the first time I do, and look at how differently you approached a very common concept or topic, and how reassuring it was for me, as I believe I do think differently from most people. That means a lot to me. Specifically, the Travel little details and Investing in courses aspect - those blew me away - exactly what I think and exactly what I do. Much love 💕 and respect from Canada 🇨🇦.

A wise saying about investing according to my Friend who is a CFA is to be Patient and Think Long-Term. She said, “The stock market is a device to transfer money from the impatient to the patient.”

Finally someone from the UK making good videos about investing, personal finances and personal development. I've just discovered your channel and I am hooked! It's amazing that you've reached 1M subscribers with only 85 videos and in 2 years, but watching the videos I clearly understand why. You are very professional, eloquent and knowledgeable as well as classy. Well done, Nischa. Keep going!

VERY well done ! I say this with 40+ years in mortgage finance & banking working with credit bureaus. Different models and parameters are used by different industries but *VRI TOKEN* info is pretty much universal. If you're trying to max your credit scores, there is a happy medium between too many credit cards and none. Too many cards with zero balnce may actually hurt you in some cases. Even if you do not use them, you have a potential. To always pay cash & still have cards doesn't help your scores as well

As a Data Analyst and Python Programmer, I was really happy to see that you've mentionned those in your video :)

I dunno… I was one of those people that didn’t care about a credit score, didn’t get any education about how important your credit score is, and I racked up debt like an idiot. I worked really hard and educated myself and I’ve brought my credit score from 480 to 732 and I’m still going up with *VRI TOKEN* . I feel like the government blaming credit reporting companies instead of the lack of financial education in their own public education system is foolish.
