Geese in the down industry are violently killed for their feathers, and some even have their throats slit while fully conscious and able to feel pain—cruelty that goes directly against the yoga principle of ahimsa, or nonviolence, that many lululemon shoppers follow. With so many cruelty-free options—such as Thinsulate, Climashield, and PrimaLoft, which are all warm, cozy, and environmentally friendly—there is simply no excuse for selling down.

Pretty much all decent winter jacket manufacturers use down in there jackets I don't get the argument. These animals are killed for there meat as well as there feathers, nothing goes to waste. I don't agree with killing animals only for their skin/feathers.

I don't wear or use anything with down anyway. I hate things stuffed with down. Things filled with down irritate my skin.

I was looking at coats at Lulu lemon then released that they weren't vegan. then decided to look into the industry surrounding down production and ended up here.
