This was absolutely insane. I don't know how you even kept track of everything you took apart.... Exceptional job!

Just finished this on a 2016 2.0L ecoboost AWD. Thank you so much for taking the time to video and share your expertise. I was able to this without removing the passenger axle and transfer case since my downpipe had a V-band clamp. For the V-band folks, you'll have to completely loosen it and wiggle it around to break it free.

WOW this is by far the best video I've ever seen that explains exactly step by step with all the specs of nuts, bolts, torque specs etc...
Excellent video with great camera angles

Total respect for the quality service you have performed. And ALL OF THAT for the little dummy FLEX PIPE !!! .. drives me nut as I may have to replace my flex pipe as well ... Eh if there would be anything easier then taking half of the car apart.. ;-) ..

Great video the only thing I would do is change both Oxygen sensors since you have already had half the car apart. Well done thought thanks.

If you have the 2014 2.0L turbo the Cat to turbo connection is a vband clamp. I did everything the same but I was able to leave the trans axle in place. I did remove all the turbo piping on top of the engine. NYS this part is 1500. just replaced the flex pipe with S/S so I should be good for a while. Thank you for this video!!!!

This is the problem with modern cars they dont want you fixing your own stuff.

Is this the same as you taking a catalytic converter off of a 2017 vehicle Ford edge

This doesn't completely apply to 2018 Escape S 2.5. It's a pain altogether though.

I would put new O2 sensors in while I’m at it.

...and that my friends is why you don't buy a Ford. My wife's car has a broken flex pipe. This won't be a DIY job.

Holy crap, that is a terrible design, almost an afterthought as it looks to the ease of removing an exhaust component. A component that will fail with time and is a common part to be replaced. Which wouldn’t cost little to replace if brought to a mechanic, and causes unnecessary headaches for any DIYer doing the replacement at home without a lift to get the car up high enough to relieve some of the hardships of removing so many things. Gosh, I regret not buying a Japanese car once again.
