This song is about that feeling you get when you hear your lover say your name – from a phone call, to the bedroom (👀). I wanted to write something that felt like waking up in the morning with someone you love. Something like the morning sun shining through your window as you’re in bed with someone you just spent the night with. I wanted to write something that was more flirtatious than overtly seductive. The scent of the freshly baked cookie, not the actual cookie. It’s the first time you’re dancing with someone, your movements match in special typa way, and you’re like, ah, I really like this. Someone wrote about this song as being a combination of R&B, rock and bossa nova. I like that.
