One of the many reasons why I like this game is because it focuses a lot on Freddy himself, like the games are literally called five nights at FREDDY’S yet Freddy always seems to get pushed aside like he’s some forgettable character

I think a lot of people missed that Freddy tells us that he lost his connection to the mainframe and I assume that he missed whatever update turned the others hostile. Good on you for remembering that.

To me the only true ending is where Vanessa/Vanny is saved from William/Glitchtrap, with Freddy, Gregory and Vanessa being like a family, the family Gregory never had if he was indeed homeless

Ya know the tapes? There seems to be 2 different people being spoken to by the therapist. Vanessa says she likes to read outside, while in another tape it says she prefers to be in the dark. There’s a lot of contradictions like that within those tapes, which points to Vanessa having a twin more than a doppelgänger

One gripe here, I don’t think there is a soul inside Freddy, I think it’s more an AI, like the ones in FNAF 2.

The ending where Freddy and Vanny fall off the roof and you see Vanessa still in her security uniform on the roof implies that’s her soul is still trapped inside the mall because you never freed her from glitch trap. The player only killed her physical form.

I believe Freddy isn't possessed. Yes he seems human, but it also seems a bit mechanical too. I think this is more of what happened to Wall-E, whether they were programmed like that or there was a malfunction that altered his programming and made him sentient.

i really like the theory that vanessa hacked glamrock freddy to save gregory, and that she wasn't actually trying to hurt him but was being controlled to.

What if Gregory isn’t just homeless, but also an orphan? But not just any orphan, what if he was the child of one of the staff members that was fired from the Pizzaplex and possibly killed by the bots? If he was aware from his parents how the company was operating and later on they disappeared, it would make sense that he would go investigate and find himself a victim of Vanny as collateral damage. It just seems off the whole “He is homeless and there’s no records of him” situation. From the comic scenes and the animated scenes, he doesn’t seem like someone who’s always lived on the streets, and with how tight security is in the Pizzaplex, he must’ve had at least some understanding of how to enter and hide inside Freddy. On another note, I don’t think the animatronics are possessed, that’s just how machines work when they are programmed to function on a certain way, so when Vanessa turned into Vanny, she hacked their programs and turned them more hostile so it would fit her agenda. Basic “machines turning against humanity” type of deal.

Actually, you're kinda right on the part where Gregory was in fact inside Rockstar Freddy while he was performing. At 8:58, there's a detecion of a person.
Meaning someone was possibly inside him. Aka, Gregory. Maybe that's what caused him to malfunction, disconnect from the main office, and go into safe mode! This could indicate that he's safe from being/becoming hijacked/hacked.

But, I don't think all of the animatronics are possessed-
I'm pretty sure they're all programmed to function on their own.

He probably did do it to hide from Vanny.
Maybe he was being chased by her inside the Pizzaplex.
Then, when he had no other option...he managed to find Freddy, his chest cavity was probably left open before the show was starting. This gave Gregory a chance to climb inside. With the cavity suddenly closing itself on it's own. He does mention that Freddy was sleeping/turned off. (My theory)

I saw a comment about theory that someone could be trying to frame Vanessa for all the chaos that's been going on. And a doppleganger could be the case! Maybe someone did stole her identity & is pretending to be her.

My theory about why there are seemingly two Vanessas is that the Vanessa we see walking around in her security uniform is actually her ghost/consciousness manifesting in the pizza plex in order to aid and protect Gregory from William Afton, who has possessed her body (Vanny) and used it to assume control of the building. This would explain why she can move about the premises without having to worry about either the rogue bots or Vanny coming after her, and why she displays no urgency to escape the burning building when Gregory unmasks Vanny, instead watching on forlornly as the flames surround her, as if her soul has been set free.

I've always thought that Vanessa and Vanny were twin sisters, so the ending of Vanny being unmasked and Vanessa watching from the roof makes sense to me.

In the CDs the therapists are talking to two people, one they call Vanessa and the other they treat as a child

Personally, I don't think that the soul in Glamrock Freddy mixed with his AI freeing him from Glitchtrap's control is the soul of a child. Considering that the pizza plex is built literally on top of the ruins of the Pizza place trap Henry made to lure the remaining animatronics to destroy them in a fire thus making the area a gravesite, I believe that the soul in Freddy is either Michael or Henry that got disturbed and sensing the danger of William's return and the more souls of children being killed, they hijacked Freddy to prevent the virus from coming in and severing the connection to the system but in the process merged with AI of Freddy.

As for the ending that has Gregory unmask Vanny Vanessa and with Vanessa seeing everything on the roof, I think I have a explanation for that, that was her soul on the roof watching her being exposed, bound the gravesite like the victims her alter killed for William.

Remember how in the short stories Vanessa had golden eyes? Could it be that it was her sister and the way u tell them apart is by eye colour? colour has always been a huge clue in fnaf lore
