This popped up in my feed cuz me and a friend started getting into it. He bought a box and this collection set that included a game mat, 3 blitz decks for zenith, nuu, and enigma, and also 3 boosters. Out of 27 boosters we got a marvel and a legendary. I forget the exact names of the cards but the legendary was mistcloak gully I think, it was something gully I know for sure and the other was something homage, probably the rarer of the two cards. According to tcg player though ones worth about $30 and the other nearly $50 I think.

The fact that there is a card worth as much as the Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale in a game that's about two years old makes me REALLY concerned about the future of FnB. I know it's exciting to pull out a big card like that, but it feels like the price for many cards are artificially inflated, and that makes me concerned for the future of the game.
I'm a brand-new player, mostly just playing at my LGS, running Lexi decks. I basically don't have access to the power cards like Spring Tunic because it's way too expensive for me. I want to enjoy the game, and I want to be successful, but dropping $200 or so on a single piece of cardboard when I'm a new player is just not reasonable. And you can't tell me that "Things are just fine without it, " since if things were just fine without it, it wouldn't be in almost every single deck. There is a massive difference in play patterns and power levels between decks that have a Spring Tunic and those that don't.
They need to do what other card games do and reprint all of their cards, even in future sets, to keep prices reasonable. A game is meant to be played, and to play it, players need access to the cards. You cannot expect the people who are getting into the game -- especially young people (which isn't me; I'm 45 years old) -- to be able to drop $500 to $1000 pulling together decks.
