I didn't know about this, so i checked the code of their github. And sry, i will NOT be installing that, even if they give me money.
One of the options is to Disable Windows Defender a definitve red flag.
Another one is to disable Mitigations. If you want your CPU be vulnerable to Spectre and Meltdown AGAIN, go on, disable that.
AND ANOTHER shady one disabling Core Isolation.
This script disables THREE Security Features and labels them as "recommended".
Not to mention, one of their codes try to run as TI.. Using obfuscated code, another red flag.
There is even a script called "Disable PNP", which lists a ton of important system devices - and tries to DISABLE THEM.
Including AMD PSP, PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller, PCI Memory Controller, etc. As if those would slow the system down, lmao.

Honestly, I've moved to Atlas OS since and never had any bugs or issues. I used to have stock win 11 and it went HORRIBLY. My laptop slowed down horribly and had to make another account and transfer all the files, happened 2 TIMES. Then when everything was going "good", My start menu disappeared completely and had to reset my entire laptop. Moved onto Atlas OS instead of going to stock win 10 and everything went smoothly. You can't convince me to go back to stock windows.

There’s nothing wrong with atlas, not only can you re activate defender it works simply better than windows and it doesn’t remove necessary things. Idk what this guy is happing about but stock is not better even if you so called “optimize” it it won’t do as much as these ppl do with the os

Hmm, let me give you my experience on CTT.
When I moved back to stock windows after months of using custom modified windows, I used the tool to optimize it ootb and make windows more private. The settings seems to be working well.

Within 2 months of usage, while maintaining the operating system daily, Windows became more buggy and I've got BSODs more occasionally for no reason. (It happened once when I was doing college work where I didn't save the documents) and realized its the tool's fault.

So basically, none of the tools/playbooks/optimization packages (whatever you call it) is perfect and it's all trial and error until we find the best settings for our own PC/Laptop while optimizing manually. The only thing that ran well in my laptop is Linux and I hope I can get back to it but due to college limitations and software compatibility, I, unfortunately had to rely on Windows until I graduate.

There is actually nothing wrong with atlas. All of the reviews at the time of me writing this are outdated. In the atlas installer disabling windows defender is clearly marked "not recommended". This goes for all important security features and UAC is enabled by default. I use atlas and have not experienced any problems related to security. I do however, see a huge performance increase. The creator talks about refreshing windows because of a performance issue that builds up over months of use... I have been running the same installation of windows for 3 years before switching to atlas and never experienced this. Im not sure if the creator is trying to make atlas sound worse or maybe im lucky I never had this issue- on my pc or laptop. We are also never shown any actual footage of atlas (that isn't too important but just saying) so Im not really sure if they actually tested at all, let alone 5 months. Anyway, I hope you read to the end of this comment. I don't really want to be that "erm actually" guy but there is a lot of hate for atlas and, after addressing the issues in my opinion is viable for daily use.
