I would disagree with Noah with regard to the international view of Trump. I was working in Europe and Australia during Trump’s last term in office and he was universally despised by the vast majority of people that I worked with in both Europe and Oz. I’ve just been back to Europe earlier this year and he is even more despised now and people cannot understand how anyone would even consider voting for such a candidate.

It’s not about immigrants. It’s about race. Elon Musk is an immigrant from South Africa just like Trevor. Trump wouldn’t accuse Elon of eating dogs and cats. Trump singled out the 2 black women on the View for his insults.

I never watched the Daily Show until Trevor hosted during COVID and listened to him on the regular. Love his commentary and personality!

Trevor Noah has this exceptional ability to observe and understand things at a deep, fundamental level and break them down to clear, easy to understand takes that the average people can very comfortably relate to. If you don't understand something, just have Trevor explain it to you and you'll get it almost instantaneously. I prefer this serious, intellectual side of him, than the comedic late night show host personality he did as a profession. Not that he's not good with his comedic side, he's hands down one of the top 5 comedians imo, but it's just so rare to see this level of intellectual clarity and understanding of whats happening around the world that I can forego his standups and late shows hosting if it meant having him solely talking about the world, the politics, the sciences, the arts, cultures, the experiences, about almost anything really.

Trevor Noah is a true thinker. He’s not a partisan. You don’t exactly know what his take is going to be on a given issue. There’s always nuance and thoughtfulness to how he looks at the issues, and I so appreciate that about him. We need more of that
