Find myself listening to their older music a little more now a days. Really enjoy the pastoral folky stuff in the mid/earlier catalogue and the experimental psychedelic tunes in their first few albums.

I love The Final Cut! I’m not familiar with the band politics…
I like your list. I’m going to have to revisit some of these tracks. And btw, I think Gilmore’s solo on Comfortably Numb is one of the most beautiful lines in the history of all mankind. The First solo of course! Everyone likes the second one because, I believe it’s more intricate and played faster but his melodic note choices are truly beautiful in the first one. Yes, the “Gilmore effect” is prevalent on your list…

I am pretty agree with your list. The only song I would take out is Money. I just hate it. I know, i'm mad... And on it's place I would put Green is the Colour. The most beautiful Pink Floyd song ever IMO

Years ago I heard a live version of Comfortably Numb that was on a cd someone burned for my parents. I was intrigued....but it's not just that moment.
I love cows, so I obviously bought Atom Heart Mother for the cover (I am guilty of buying albums for their covers regularly....after all, that's how I ended up with Thick as a Brick!). The atom heart mother suite is intriguing to say the least, but Summer 68' is what sold me. Even if I never end up pursuing Pink Floyd, Atom Heart Mother will always be my favorite album of theirs. And the piece which unites my vinyl collection with my cow memorabilia collection.
