If you want to start playing guitar solos either for fun at home or live on stage, but you are not sure where to start, then give this lesson a try.
The method that I have for you is designed to do two things right away. The first is to help you learn what the key and tonality will be before you play anything. The second is to learn how backing tracks tie in with the scale to lay the foundation for playing a guitar solo.
In order to develop a better understanding for “what to do” when it comes to performing a solo, you need to begin by knowing how to hear what key you’ll be in and whether the sound that you have is of the Major or Minor tonality.
Once you learn how to find the key-note, tap into the tonality and play the scale that relates to the backing chords, your next step is to stay consistent with your solo practice so that it becomes a habit to play a decent solo.
The best way to establish this is through the study of guitar licks. It doesn’t matter if you only have a few scales & licks right now, or if you have none, as long as you have a dream of playing guitar solos this lesson will get you there.
