I appreciate how he engages and dazzles the audience through his confusing plot. But at some point his films have no cinematic value and depth. Plus, they are all made on remarkably similar formulas.

Dreams, in dreams, in dreams, in dreams. Different plots for each dream, rules to follow within each dream, and about 7 main characters — each on their different levels of dreaming.
On face value,  Inception should be as complex as a movie can get, viewers are confused by the mammoth of story presented to them but beyond the spectacle,  Inception is not a credible form of complexity.
Proper, real complexity is an entirely different thing. It’s one of the most difficult elements to harness in film.
This type of complexity stems not from a confusing plot, but from something deeper. You can find it in films like Roma, Sucker Punch, Fight Club,  Blade Runner 2049 and of course,  Parasite.

Parasite doesn’t need a complicated plot.
A poor family infiltrate a rich one, experience life as higher classes before uncovering an even poorer family living underneath them both.
So much is communicated through a simply plot. It’s symbolic depictions of class divisions forms a perfect, cohesive plot. It’s substance alone, naturally forms a wonderfully complex film — layers of meaning embedded in every scene.
Comparing this to Inception, so many things happen at once, but none of it is truly complex. Shift past the gimmick, and what real depth is there to be found? The complexity in Inception is surface level. It’s superficial.
Peel away the spectacle and you’re left with a glorified heist film. Sure, it’s brilliant spy heist thriller but it’s not the ‘profoundly meanigful’ masterpiece many perceive it to be.

Complexity in cinema is deep, it allows the viewer to thoroughly analyse the source material and ponder beyond what is shown.
People mistake an abundance of plot devices and multiple on-going storylines as “complexity”, when it is rather just a gimmick.

Peel away the spectacle and you're left with a bureaucratic drama where an entrepreneur wants to destroy his opposition's inheritance by hiring some specialists and a family drama where a depressed husband wants to revive his wife.

I would recommend some more films if you really want to know what proper complexity means:
2001 A Space Odyssey
Full Metal Jacket
Eyes Wide Shut
Apocalypse Now
Schindler's list
Citizen Kane
The Shawshank Redemption
Raging Bull
Taxi Driver
Ex Machina
Annihilation
Gravity
Children of Men
Mad Max: fury road
Watchmen
Etc, , etc, , .

Also, you should watch Mr, Nobody and The Illutionist. These two films had far more perplexing plot than Nolan films. Nolan isn't the only director to make films with perplexing plot. He is just a popular hack. And infact, Inception and Interstellar were rip-offs of Animes.

Let's not forget Jonathan Nolan. His brother who writes those beautiful dialogues of his films and never even gets the deserving credit.

There will NEVER be a thing like _Interstellar_ in pop-culture or fiction, for me at least.
It was an emotional rollercoaster, the most emotional movie of Christopher Nolan.
Even Christopher Nolan himself cannot make something like Interstellar again.
Interstellar will always be the best, the greatest and my most favourite movie of all time for me.

I truly regret not watching it in theatre but good this is that in 2014, I was just 11 years old and did not clearly knew what gravity is.
So as I am a physics and mathematics lover now, I am glad I watched it when I had knowledge about Gravity, Theory of Relativity, Black Holes, Wormholes and more....

Exact opposite of Nolan is Cameron. Please make a video on him.
Cameron: 1. Simple, linear but multi layers. For example Titanic is simple but it has breathtaking visuals, human arrogance, women empowerment, life philosophy, class discrimination so much. His films can enjoy a 14 years old for visuals only and an 60 years old for subtext addressing.
2. Technology: He developed CGI in Terminator 2 and Face capturing 3D in Avatar. Even his biography is named the Visionary.
3. Number of films: Man of quality, only 5, 6 Masterpieces he had.
