Tropius is an Awful Pokemon. So I Buffed It

Tropius is one of Hoenn's many awful pokemon. So I Buffed It.

It always urked me that Tropius, a mon that is literally the same height and weight as Venusaur, sits at a mediocre 460 bst compared to Venusaur's pretty sizeable 525 bst. Yeah, it's a single stage mon, but that didn't stop Lapras and Snorlax from being given even higher bsts back in Gen 1.

An alternate ability to give it would be Sharpness, to boost its moves like Leaf Blade and Air Slash. It would have a more niche usage of the Ability, and it won't be putting crazy numbers on the board, but at least it would be a +50% damage boost that _doesn't_ work to slowly kill it in return.
Growth + Solar Blade in the sun might actually do some damage if the opponent doesn't run five Grass resists, and Curse + Body Press + Leaf Blade + Roost could be annoying to deal with under Trick Room (it actually lost Roost in Gen 9, but if we're gonna be buffing it then of course it would get the move back).

Another super solid buff video! I always thought that Tropius had an amazing design, but its stats always left so much to be desired. Fun fact, it shares its original 460 BST with another Grass/Flying type, that being Jumpluff of all things. I really enjoy the ideas for new stats and abilities, as Tropius' design definitely makes it feel like it should be bulky and slow, but still decent on the offensive. The only note I really have would be one last move that I'd add to its learnset that I'm surprised it doesn't already have, which is Ancient Power. With Tropius being dinosaur-like, it feels like it would fit, and Meganium is another Grass type that's based on a dino that already gets it through breeding and tutoring, so it would still make sense in my opinion. Again, another fantastic video, and I'll definitely be looking forward to what's next!

Chlorophyll actually isn't awful ability even on a Pokemon with Tropius's low speed cause, like Huge Power, it also doubles EVs, so you can pretty easily make it as fast as a 110+ speed Pokemon in the sun. Would be good if it was actually a glass cannon, but sadly it is far from that.

This isn't me saying it's good for Tropius specifically, but it actually isn't as bad as people think with Tropius's speed stat cause it does make that an >100 base stat in the sun. Which isn't too hard to get thanks to Groudon. It's why Venosaur is actually really good with super fast sleep powder and solar beams 👍

Regenerator is a really insane ability for a bulky Pokemon like your buffed Tropius, and the lower speed stat will make it work better in trick room. I do like it's original ability allowing it to work in and out of trick room with or without sun, but I like this too

You should buff dodrio, maybe give it reckless in place of early bird or run away and give it high jump kick, i would keep the same typing for stab on double edge and brave bird.
High jump kick is boosted by reckless and can be monsteroisly dangerous. In vgc this thing is already good enough now with tailwind support now but in singles its mid. So maybe boost its speed? I honestly dont know.

I think another good Ability for Tropius would be thick fat because it's a big tanky boy and would help it's weaknesses to ice and fire, since it has enough weaknesses as is
