This is the second song I heard of Chris' songs. That was in the 1980s when I heard the radio version. I am hardcore beach bum who goes to the beach everyday all year round regardless of the weather( except when I am too ill to leave the house). Like Leonardo DiCaprio's character in the movie "The Beach", I have searched and continue to search for the perfect beach. Friar's Beach in South Frigate Bay In St. Kitts was one such beach till it was turned into a "tourist trap". Most of my music videos on Youtube are of the beach, including a few where I used some songs by Chris. BTW, before Chris made the song, "King of the Beach'", many of the people who knew me call me "The King of the Beach". I was even given a dozen T-shirts with that written on the back. If Chris comes to the beach at Seaside Park in Bridgeport Connecticut, I will give him one of those T-shirts provided he sings the song "King of the Beach" while "On the Beach".
