What should you do if you feel like the cops are violating your 2nd Amendment rights? If you have followed my channel, you may know what I'm going to say... Invoke your 5th Amendment right to remain silent and your 6th Amendment right to an attorney. Then, don't say another word! In a situation where you're carrying, do continue to communicate your movements just to stay safe, but do not answer any more questions (even the ones that seem unrelated or casual).

Pleading the 6th Amendment is much different than the 5th Amendment.

Pleading the 5th is great but the cops can still ask questions. Pleading the 6th means ALL questions must stop until your attorney is present.

So you must articulate "im not answering any questions until your attorney is present". This attorney is great.

I had a class 7 FFL & SOT. I was allowed to have automatic weapons and suppressors. An officer pulled me over for speeding. After spotting the carting case I told what was in them. I gave him all my paperwork. He asked me if I was a police officer. At the time I was not. The rookie stated that only “police officers” were allowed to have these “types” of firearms. He decided to seize my weapons and arrest me because “civilians are not supposed to have these kind of weapons” according to his limited knowledge. I even had letterhead from my local police department stating I was their armorer. The rookie’s supervisor finally showed up. He looked over the paperwork. The supervisor then uncuffed me and handed back my papers. He told the rookie to get my weapons out of his patrol unit and put them back in my truck. The rookie was obviously mad. The last piece of paperwork stated I was going to their police academy for an armorers class. He supervisor told the rookie that I was late to the academy for my class. The look on the rookie’s face was priceless. The supervisor had the rookie to escort me to the academy. I waved at the officer as he drove away and he gave me a dirty look. 😊

When I was a kid I was told: Remember, if you get lost, scared or hurt, or if you need help, find a police officer. The police are our friends!
As an adult I tell my kids: 1. Never open the door for a police officer (P.O} 2. Never allow them to search your car or home. Do not touch the P.O if they force their way in but continue to state your objections. 3. Tell the P.O you are invoking your right to stay silent and will only answer questions in the present of your attorney. 4. Ask for your attorney. 5. Video tape all encounters with the police. 6. You cannot talk the P.O into not arresting you, but you can talk him into arresting you. See point # 3. 7. Do not touch or get physical with the P.O. - You MAY be able to take out 1 or 2 but the others will beat you all the worse for it or just kill you. 8. No situation is ever so bad that a P.O's arrival cannot make it worse. 9. You are not an attorney. Watching videos on YT does not make you an attorney. 10. You are not a sovereign citizen.

I always invoke our 4th 5th and 6th amendment rights in English and Spanish so there's no confusion on their end or mine.

I believe in exercising your 4th, 5th and 6th rights, but there can come a time when you need to exercise your 2nd amendment right to defend yourself from a cop who is a deadly threat...yes there will be consequence, but at least you'd still be alive

Only time you should talk to the cop ever is with a lawyer present. I would not even talk to my former cop neighbor without a lawyer present.

I am U.S born. I have never understood that if they are our "RIGHTS", why do we have to invoke them. Should they not be granted automatically?

The 2nd doesn't just give us the right to carry, it's to protect us from a tyrannical government. A cop violating our rights is by definition a tyrannical government figure. By the highest law of the land we have all rights to defend ourselves from said tyrant, up to and including lethal force. Just because they have a badge and gun doesn't give them special rights not afforded to the rest of us.

Is it your right to not self incriminate, and to not aid their ‘investigation’ in any way. If you are ‘guilty’, they must prove it all by themselves.

Incomplete advice like this can cause all sorts of problems. No comment on Stop & ID states, and the cop questions that must be answered in those states. I'm sure this guy knows the most important finer points that should be mentioned here, and I know there is plenty of time in this youtube-short to AT LEAST mention the finer points. I just don't understand why he won't build a more competent, more comprehensive, and more helpful short video.

One thing is the Second DOES NOT give the right to defend and stop saying so. It's each State's Castle laws and doctrine. The Second gives you the RIGHT TO BARE ARMS and to fight against tyranny at any Government level. Way different.
