Rachael Rollins, newly confirmed U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts, on her priorities & GOP criticism

After a narrow Senate confirmation along party lines, Rachael Rollins is set to be the first Black woman in the role of U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts. She joined Jim Braude to discuss her time as Suffolk County District Attorney, her goals once she is sworn in, GOP criticism of her positions, and the racist and sexist harassment she has received from some members of the public during the confirmation process.

America is descending into chaos, I always wondered why older people get so upset when they speak of the past. how people could listen to Mr.Cruz and she STILL gets in to office is beyond me.

That's fine your track record is going down. What really bothers me is, suppose I come home from vacation with my family, and there is someone camped out in my living room. After breaking into my house, this person sees no one is here, so he/she assumes they have the right to start "Homestead" procedures on my property. This, as much as it may be nefarious at the least, and downright sinister, and evil, and criminal at the most, happens alot in these United States. And it happens because liberals like this woman here, feel like what some other President once said. You Americans have too much privilege, and need to get down from your high horse. Hey, I worked hard to get to where I can afford to be what ever I want. As long as I am moral, and cast no harm to my fellow citizen. It's called "The American Dream". The democrats want to take it away from us. I like to think that if you are born here, in the USA, at birth we citizens are granted equal opportunity to be the best you can. Our privilege starts at birth, because we were born into the land of opportunity. The greatest country in the world.

The way it rolled in West Roxbury in 2011 was that Boston Police put a security detail on her predescessor, who lived around the corner from me. The Feds will give her security coverage once she is sworn in. You know, death threats are a 'forever unforgettable, ' in a bad way. See this irony that I was first threatened with being stabbed in 2004...and I had twins in a stroller & their older sister very sharp, by my side. Death threats used to matter, and were aggressively prosecuted, but my tort changed that, and so now they are shrugged off and are practically de rigeur. She also IS going to have to worry about fake dates of her nieces and their being targeted for drug stings. These are slovenly times is a understatement!
