The real issue is that La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga are not willing to equally distribute revenue and build up their entire league as one brand like the Premier League started doing in the early 90's. Its a long process but clearly reaped long-term benefits.

When Serie A was buying everyone on the 80s and 90s nobody cared, La Liga in the 00s nobody cared. It’s only now when Madrid can’t bully clubs into selling players because they pay mad wages that they care. I’m old enough to remember Juventus courting Patrick Vieira and Roy Keane every season, every summer they would unsettle top players. Barca and Real did the same. But now their leagues are uncompetitive and financially middling they want a Super League.

As long as there are no English teams in this super league i have no problem with it. Go for it for all I care.

Imagine Liverpool City game being played in New York instead of Anfield last Sunday. The atmosphere would be nowhere near, and that’s what made the game so intense.

UEFA should be charged for the way they handled the Paris final

Clubs like Barca, Madrid and Juve. Aren't they financially strained due to them offering big contacts to players that have not yet really performed to their expected form.

If the ESL is revived then the protests we saw at Chelsea, will become widespread.

Still waiting on the PL to actually punish those 6 clubs instead of a measly "fine"

I can’t believe they still want to go on with this plan honestly

Barca, RM and Juve should sell the players they can't afford and buy only what they can afford. Instead of messing the game up for everybody. Also the big reason their leagues have fallen is because of the dominance those clubs had for many years and that made the entire league less competitive and less enjoyable to watch.

Worst idea in sporting history. Only reason they want it is the money, which most football fans agree is the last thing these clubs need. They already have the Champions League, and now two other European competitions, what more do they need? It's just sheer greed, or major financial mismanagement, neither of which should be solved by dragging down domestic football. As a fan of a lower league side, I'm forever grateful for the fans of the big six protesting against it with such force and vigour. What's the point of a competition if you don't get in on merit? It kills the purpose of the game. If the owners of the likes of Real Madrid or Juventus are so jealous of the Premier League, then maybe you should focus on improving your own domestic structure rather than trying to wreck ours. Fact it's still being talked about is deeply worrying for football, may the Super League idea be buried once and for all.

To be fair they need to focus on growing home players as well, all they want to do is spend

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are like that person that wants to get involved in your superb million-pound idea thats kicking off but yet want to stick in a fiver....

maybe if the foreign leagues looked at Investing properly around the divisions, filling their stadiums and stopped players rolling about the floor for half a game, they could compete with the Premier League

Simple, they can have their super league but on these conditions, they have to accept that they will lose all of their Champions league titles and Europa league titles, and any other continental club competition titles as well their club world cup titles, a transfer embargo for 4 years including loaning out players.

The European Super League, if it happened, would be akin to a bunch of celebrities, who have an over inflated idea of how popular they are, out with their immediate fans and social media followers, booking a posh hotel in a town for a party, which they plan to fund by charging the locals money to come into the grounds of the hotel to watch them arrive and walk up the red carpet into their party. They have also set up viewing galleries and large screens, so that those locals can sit, or stand outside in the cold and watch them having their fun inside. They have promised that a tiny amount of the locals will be allowed in, but the overwhelming majority will not. (Probably local dignitaries who will gain admittance for the most part!)

However, they then end up being put out to discover, that many of their fans have decided to turn their backs upon them and not come to watch them, as they are disgusted at their stuck up, elitist behaviour and how they are expecting others to fund their shindig. Also, hardly anyone who is not a fan of theirs bothers to turn up, having better things to do with their time, than watch a bunch of people they do not like, having some snobby, elitist party, that they have hardly any chance of joining,

Yes, a few sad individuals, who don't seem to have a life, do turn up. (You know, like the ones who turned up on a Friday night, to watch the Big Brother Eviction, or who have nothing better to do at Christmas Day, than stand in the cold to watch the Royals going to church!) Some of those though are just dazzled and impressed by celebrities in general and, if their favourite celeb's star starts to set, they will not stick by them, moving on to those who are on trend instead. However, far fewer people in total turn up than expected and nowhere near enough to fund the party, which is unfortunate (for the celebs anyway, but funny as hell for everyone else!), as several of them had been living extravagant lifestyles, are heavily in debt and are relying on the surplus money, after the party costs were covered, to bail them out of the financial hole they are in!

In exchange for remaining in the Premier League, the Top 6 clubs receive favorable VAR decisions. Change my mind.

Ive already made my decision if The Super League goes through I'm going to bow out of football, i really don't want to, but i rather bow out then watch Real Madrid play Manchester City somewhere like Los Angeles.
