What freaks me out the most about Mommy Long legs chase sequence is her moaning and laughing. That’s just terrifying to hear

Huggy has the more iconic chase, though both still have stressful chases that require fast thinking and I love it. Plus both are scary in their own ways

Because of Mommy’s design and her ability to talk I highly doubted she would be that scary but they found a way to make her very scary, and that’s talent.

Mommy’s was more of a parkour and strategy, huggy’s is all about the fast paste and quick movements

Huggy Wuggy: Chases you in the vents and you can hear him behind you
Mommy Long Legs: *TEN NIN-* she is literally everywhere, her voice is everywhere, and she can bend her
limbs in extreme ways, which makes her creepier. Her chase is longer than huggy wuggy's though. And you have to keep running
and have quick reactions

Honestly we can agree huggy is just adorable an mommy is the scariest

I think mommy long legs. The moaning and groaning, and the evil, hysterical laughter coming from all sides just puts you on the edge of your seat, while your already looking around and spinning in different directions to make sure you don’t get cornered. Plus, she almost seems to just magically appear in different places in impossible ways, rather then just chasing behind you. The part where you’re in the soggy, flooded pipes and sewers, her hands with the stretched out and disoriented fingers coming at you from the dark doesn’t help, as well as watching her climb up right underneath you as you use your grab pack to rise up after the previous sequence of events is so freaking creepy. Huggy Wuggy is iconic, sure, but mommy long legs definitely scores high in the scary scale in my opinion.

Personally i find huggy wuggy more scary. The sound of him when he finally catches you is so loud and creepy

I don't think one is more scarier than the other. They both had their own things that made them scary. Since Mummy Long Legs was in the 2nd chapter, they probably had a few more ideas. However, Huggy's was my favourite. It really set the tone for the game and gave you a feel for what is to come. Huggy's was pretty straight forward, and the chase scene in chapter 2 had a few obstacles and ways to go, and let's not forget the countdown, the moans and groans, seeing her hands come in all directions. Basically a lot of distractions. Overall both amazing scenes! Can't wait for chapter 3!

For me Huggy's was naturally scarier - it feels like he's not even trying to be scary where as Mommy feels like they tried too hard? Just my opinion, Huggy's chase scene is iconic and I don't think they'll manage it again, kinda like lightening in a bottle.
I also think this because Mommy's chase scene has so many stops and starts which kill the tension. Conversely Huggy's scene keeps the tension building - he appears unexpectedly near the end after hunting you down the whole time, looking monstrous comapred to first appearance - you run to vents, feeling safe, only to find he actually moves VERY fast and can fit inside them! it's short but incredibly effective. It messes with player expectations so well.

For Mommy - it's a personal preference but I never find characters that talk to me that scary, and she talks a lot lol. It makes her more corny in some lines? I couldn't take her a seriously. She has a wonderful design tho, and I feel like they could've done scarier things with it - like how her arms are coming out of walls? more of that - but make it dangerous - make it so those arms are faster to grab the player like she's a striking snake or something - it feels like her body invites a different type of chase? yet her chase is very similiar to huggys. I think an open space chase with her where you have to do a lot of random dodging would have worked better (but be harder to make tbf) her chase like huggys is very linear which isn't always the best (tho i get why horror developers make it that way - it is easier compared to say, , , alien isolation which is INTENSELY scary because the alien AI doens't follow a set path. you don't "trigger" chases, the alien comes for you and the player has to navigate escape quite creatively.
but this is a lot to ask for esp of an indie dev, and these characters are VERY impressive - especially the other monsters in the mini games. they did a super good job!

Mommy long legs is still creepy because from the start of the game we see her friendly look(though she's not friendly) but when she starts to transform in that monster when her fingers and pupil start growing terrifies us so much that it makes the chase seen even more scarier and also the voice she makes while chasing it's just like a monster is hunting your life and the background music adds on in our fear
The took so much time to release this chapter but they made a complete masterpiece

also mommy talks and she is like "im gonna give you a chance with one last game" but huggy is just there chasing you

and mommy also laughs a lot.

i think chapter 2 was way better than chapter 1 in every way posssible.

and in a fight mommy would definitely beat huggy
