Fr is amazing what humans can make. To practically instantly purify water. Idk people probably think its nothing. But to me its prob one of the most important things

To the people saying stuff like “ look at it under a microscope “ or “you just removed the sand not the bacteria” remember he said this is mainly made for people in areas without access to clean water, so even tho its not completely clean its still better than drinking mud

PSA : The P&G Water Packet doesn't only solidify sediment. It contains disinfectant and chroline. It's literally a mini water purifier. You don't need to boil it. Just like the water treatment plants don't boil your tap water.
Edit: Alright, I'm sick and tired of people still trying to argue with me. Just think of this pack like a... Ah! Life Straw in a packet! That's right!!! You don't boil water that comes out a lifestraw, do you? Same logic applies here but it uses chemicals instead of filters.

The Amazing thing is Flocculation has been a process that humans used for thousands of years, The Egyptians used almonds to clarify river water, Roman's used alum for water treatmet, and in 1700's in England alum was still used to clean municipal water. You might not notice it but it has been there, many of the industry today use some form of coagulant or flocculant in their creation. The only reason why it's only been used now is because it not only removes dirt, but also other forms of microorganisms that weren't possible to remove with old methods. This is an evidence of the advancement of technology helping the world get better.

Humans are weird, they bring chaos and havoc everywhere even to themselves, but some humans make solutions to those problems by making stuff like these.

Flocculants are also used in home aquariums for binding together particles of detritus, fish excretion, dirt dead matter, into clumps for easier cleaning. It seems they made a drinking water safe version

For my environmental studies course in high school we went to a water recycling plant and it was so cool. We learned how they did this (flocculation) on a large scale. Goes from literal sewage to water clean enough to drink. Absolutely amazing. The only reason it's not drunk is purely because of the stigma. The water itself is clean enough to drink when they're done with it. Instead they use it for things like watering public park lawns and cleaning and stuff like that

It's crazy how this product was produced only for laundry use but its benefits were FAR greater than just that!!

A 12 pack of these runs about 25 bucks each one claims to do 2.5 gallons of water. His last video showed that sometimes you may need 2. So even if its 6 uses that's still 15-30 gallons of survival water. That's about a month supply for 1 person. In case anyone wants to know.

How does P&G clean water?
Dr. Phil Souter and his team invented the P&G Purifier of Water packets, which use the processes of coagulation and flocculation to separate contaminants in the water and then disinfection to make the water clean and drinkable. The flocculant/disinfectant powder P&G™ has been proven to remove the vast majority of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, even in highly turbid waters.
