The keybrand. They've buffed it recently, but when it was introduced it was a rare post plantera dungeon drop, and this completely outclassed by the terrablade and paladins hammer. However, they buffed it to make it deal bonus damage to things with higher max health, which is actually pretty appreciated for that stage, as it helps against stuff like the paladin or the lizahrds

I would probably say the Chlorophyte Saber and Claymore, but I feel like chlorophyte in general can be used more in the game thanks to Shimmer.

Because now you can craft a chlorophyte set and weapons and after you kill Plantera you can throw them in the shimmer and make the Shroomite or Spectre bars.

You get it by fishing in the underground hallowed, and it's actually really good

It's funny because the Gladius carried me through prehardmode in my "let's replay after not playing for 6 years"

I grew up playing terraria on console so a lot of things were new that I didn’t know about, with one of them being the Onyx Blaster which I saw through a video played in PC + the tactical shotgun

The mandible blade, stylish scissors, katana, purple clubberfish, bone sword, phasesaber, classy cane, bladetongue, flying dragon, Red's throw, valkyrie yoyo, obsidian swordfish, terragrim, sleepy octopod, sky dragon's fury, revolver, poisoned knife, bone, frost daggerfish, ale tosser, toxicarp, frost staff, nettle burst, resonance scepter, staff of earth, leaf blower, medusa head, spirit flame, blood thorn, leather whip, snowball launcher, cannon, and bunny cannon. That's all the obscure or overlooked weapons I could think of. Not including removed weapons, already mentioned weapons, unimplemented weapons, or season specific weapons.
