Are You BLOCKING Your SPIRIT GUIDES? #shorts #spiritguides

Did you know that you could be blocking the guidance from your Spirit Guides and Intuition? ⬇️⁠

One common way we do this (without ever meaning to!) is by tying ourselves into the expectation of what it is that we want, rather than staying grounded in the here and now and NOTICING the signs our Spirit Guides are sending us.⁠

This was a lesson I was reminded of when I first moved to New Orleans:⁠
⁠
I was looking to create a community, and I met a woman at a bookstore who I began talking to. In the moment of our first conversation, I already felt something was off - but I was so interested in making friends that I ignored all of the red flags my Intuition was sharing with me, and agreed to go over for dinner at her house.⁠

The moment that I showed up I knew this was NOT the vibe. She talked at me the entire time, dumping her trauma on me, talking about her work, herself, and completely ignoring the person in front of her.⁠
⁠
It was not a conversation, it was a download.⁠
⁠
Not only that, but her negativity, her unavailability to anything outside of her world left me feeling trapped and unhappy.⁠
⁠
I remember leaving and I knew, my Intuition knew, that this was not a friend.⁠
⁠
But again, I was so excited about my expectations that I ignored my signs.⁠
⁠
Maybe she was just having a bad day! 🤷‍♀️⁠
⁠
So, I had another coffee date with her. Same thing. She is negative, only talking about herself, taking up all of the space and energy in the wrong.⁠
⁠
When I left that time, I knew that I had ignored that guidance. There were so many red flags that were very apparent, but my desire to have a friend trumped any part of being in reality and was in fantasy of what could be.⁠

This was a great reminder to let go of expectations and stay grounded in what our Spirit Guides are trying to communicate with us.⁠
