The NERF LMTD DESTINY GJALLARHORN is the biggest, baddest NERF blaster ever made, being an absolutely massive MEGA dart (and ELITE!?) blaster that uses a completely new system of MEGA dart shells to shotgun darts down range out of an absolutely ridiculously sized Rocket Launcher body. Everything about the Gjallarhorn is excessive, including it's price at $185 USD, but with it being so massive and meticulously detailed with a fun exclusive new gimmick and lots of potential for modding improvement? It's definitely one of my favorite releases from NERF in modern history. Just don't be the last.

Fun fact about the ingame ornament inspired by this blaster: the model for the rocket itself during the reload is actually replaced by a demolisher missile :))

Funnily enough, they released the “Gjallerfoam” ornament in game right around the time they nerfed Gjallerhorn to make its shots do less damage. Thus, they “nerfed” Gjallerhorn in more ways than one.

I'm imagining a mod in which the entire "stock" is a massive reservoir with a big spring and it fires 9 rival rounds from an improved shell. It'd be the scariest thing on the battlefield

A note on the 1 dart fireing, you can put plane old tape over the back of the shells on the empty cyllinders to force the air out of 1 hole. If you do this with the elite dart shell, it makes that sucker POP!

Nerf could have included a shell that launched Mega XL as well.

My best guess as to why they didn't add something to automatically push the shell down when you prime it... forward? back? whatever... was because the reload animation in-game has you shove it back down before locking the top in place

I'm a massive Destiny fan, so this was a must-have for me. The blaster is massive and intimidating, and the detailing is wonderful on it. Very true to the in-game asset. Nothing is like this blaster.

I can easily see these being use as maguffin weapons in HvZ games. Likely obtained after a few missions, with the Gjallerhorn being the only way to defeat a special zombie the humans would otherwise need to avoid.

I think you're on the right track with slapping an air tank into this thing for extra performance. But I'm thinking something more compact. Yes, this looks awesome, but it's just so massive. I'm thinking something break-action, sledgefire-esc, and a titan tank. Feels like that's more practical, just so long as the only single shot shell is a Mega XL shell
