I consider mine a meditation. I listen to the audiobooks once a year in the summer, and go for 45 minute walks a few times a week. Let the steps calm your mind and allow it to focus on the words.

Just started words of radiance and pulled an all nighter and didn’t stop reading til noon. It genuinely is consuming my life but I’m totally ok with it

Just finished the way of kings at 1:00 am this morning after staying up late to finish. Went to bed, and then started book 2: words of radiance when I woke up😂

Love each character. They have the time to shine. A advantage of having 1300 pages of pure gold in each book =)

I watched many movies 100s of times each so no, not an addiction. Although over decades. Ive read the Frank Herbert Dune novels and Lord of the Rings novels a dozen times each, Hyperion & A Scanner Darkly more. But again over decades. The Way of Kings is 14 years ago. Four books so far, the Fifth is coming out in a few days. Yes, of course you can do this, im curious what other books have you read besides Brandon Sanderson novels, thats more my question than anything else.

When you begin reading, there are good moments and bad moments. Highstorms and rain seasons, party time and hangovers.

When you are at the 4th book, it's the everstorm, final desolation, constant sorrow, full blown dissociative identity and you find yourself wondering "how did i get to that point?" "Am i even still enjoying this?" But then you hear about the 4 secret books published during covid and you just need another fix.

Book is difficult to read. Shallan is boring and not funny. Dalinar is one dimensional. Only kaladin's chapters are worth reading. Worldbuilding not really immersive. I'll finish because I love Brandon Sanderson and his other books.
