How a Single Asteroid Wiped Dinosaurs Off This Planet

It's commonly known that a single asteroid set off the dinosaurs' extinction. Even more destructive than its impact was the chain of events it set into motion.

I read up on this thoroughly, and there's something I find so interesting: The asteroid didn't kill all dinosaurs, but no animal > 50 lbs survived the apocalypse. I find it impressive that tiny therapods (walked on 2 feet), who were most likely at the bottom of the food chain, were tough enough to adapt to the abrupt cooling of the planet. They burrowed and found shelter for centuries until the dust settled, grew plumage and began to take wing (birds), and carry on the dinosaurs legacy 😎

Well too bad for them earth before got such thin atmosohere and the asteroid didnt burn that fast unlike today we got thicker atmosphere where comets and space debris are burned at the atmosphere and thats the only good thing I know about a planet having a thick atmosphere like Jupiter which has thick atmosphere
