Nier automata is depressing

I started playing it because of 2Bs booty. Damn near cried by the end of the game. Booty was just the lure, and it caught me good in the feels.

If you don't like sad things you probably won't like it. Like evangelion it is important to play the game at a time in your life it connects with you other wise you probably won't like it as much.

I had bought Nier Automata years ago and I took one look at the flight mechanic and got immediately turned off. However, a couple weeks ago I decided to pick it back up. I am so grateful I decided to do so because if you look past the grindiness of the game (which isn't all that grindy if you are just doing MSQ--aside from some of the tedious boss fights) it has an amazing story to it. Sure, the story is depressing, but that is just the surface level of the game. It has amazing turns and twists and you discover so much from doing simple delivery quests or from even opening certain chests. It has such a deep, rich story to it that honestly makes up for the button mash sequence. Once you get through 1/3 of the game, it gets a WHOLE lot easier and it is very gracious.

And if it is still bad to play, I would recommend just putting it on easy mode and setting up auto-play chips to let the game do it all for you, so you can just enjoy the story!

I hope you give it another go one day, and maybe it will become a gem to you too.

Absolutely love this game, the gameplay was basic but intense and smooth, the story while sad and depressing is also beautiful, and the music…oh man the music is fantastic.

I finished the first ending and onto the second one. The combat does get better and I often find the game goofy. Also its a hack and slash game, its got the dmc5 combat. Stale but fun.

I tried recommending the game to one of my friend about a year ago, but I never mentioned it to him again. Dude was a little depressed in life at the time and I ain’t Try’na make him feel more depressed.

However, when I first heard of this game, I too was going through a bit of a stressful time. Some of the philosophy in this game are very similar to what I was feeling at the time. I wouldn’t say this game has changed my life, but it definitely changed my view towards certain things in life.

Good game, highly recommend it to anyone. Although maybe not so much to the type of people who cries while watching titanic. Pretty emotional heavy game.

Music 10/10, story 10/10, gameplay 8/10, graphics 9.5/10, 2B’s ass 10/10.

I picked it up on a whim thinking maybe the outfits would be too much. I was told to finish at least 3 playthroughs and I thought that was ridiculous. When I finished the 5th it had become one of my top 5 games ever. So good. So goddamn good.
