The way to the Matterhorn

It has been a long dream of mine as a mountaineer to climb the Matterhorn. The most photographed mountain that sits at the top of Zermatt has attracted thousands of climbers over the years. At 4478m it is considered to be a difficult climb. In this film Julia Lyubova, together with a local Zermatt guide Andreas Steindl, go on an epic journey to get to the summit of the Matterhorn. It is no easy task but they make it in 3,5 hours and enjoy the views from a very windy summit. But this is only half of the story, the journey back down is even harder....

Very well done, congrats! I remember my climb back in 2013, it was awesome! Wish you all the best for upcoming climbs, enjoy!

Well done Video!
But I have to bring some points up:
- rated ZS+ it is by no means considered to be one of the hardest climbs in the alps
- as far as I know the Hörnlihut is an unpleasant place to be but maybe you were lucky to be there during the pandemic with less mountaineers
- it was not you but your guide who lowerd you
- if relying on a climbing rope is a terrifing thing for you Matterhorn is not the place to be
