Fun fact the hummer’s currently used in the US military I think are pull start like a gas lawnmower

That is in fact a latch to keep the hood down, there is one on each side, because this is an old hummer it doesn’t have modern hood tech, also additionally the hood opens like a truck hood, or the opposite way a regular hood opens, also, the hood is basically the whole front of the truck
